Yuasa, and also I have my doubts about leaving a battery on a tender. Unless you're leaving a bike un-used for months, or years, in which case remove the battery, I'd install a digital volt meter and keep an eye on the generator and battery. My last Yuasa on my 3vd lasted 7 years

Quote:As the title, my battery is on its last legs. It was fitted to my 2002 900 when I brought it three years ago.
But despite being kept on a tender it is now starting to get sluggish starting.
So I would appreciate suggestions on whatâs the best battery to replace it with, thankyou.

Regarding the tender, I don't use one because they're not completely predictable, and instead I use an old plug in timer with a 7 day duration and that brings my 3 Amp charger on for an hour once a week.

I pinched that from Favs. He mentioned it a year or two ago. I had an old plug in timer I didn't use any more, so it got a second life.
You can pick them up easily for under a tenner.
My bike had a weak battery at the time but all through winter I could start the bike when i wanted just to see if it was still had enough juice, even when below freezing.
I use an optimate minimate when I think my battery has been left a long time without use (2 months ?), but I only leave it on until the green light shows and then I remove the charger
