Brother rides a Honda Crosstourer 1200. The centre stand is held in with a steel tube through cast alloy lugs on the rear of the engine. It seized in place so he had to cut tube to get stand off. Then the oh dear session started. Access is tight so to get the bits of tube out of the lugs an extraction tool was needed. Big Brov' engineering got the job.
Glad to know it's not only Yamaha who make mistakes in design.

Replaced with a solid Shaft of A4-80 with bolts on the end. It's an odd size 18.80mm. I made a stainless plate to match the old one which stops shaft turning in the alloy lug.
