Hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery MB.

It's amazing how surgery has moved on these days, less intrusive and painful and really quick recovery times. And the nurses just get prettier by the day

Gutted to hear about 'The Legend' She sure gave you her all.

and being so close to Godzillamonsters departure

Bring on 'The Legend 2 - Roo-minator'
Good luck with the surgery. Then, in recovery, you can write the book (one handed typing?) where you give the full story of all the adventures you had together. You certainly have the material for it.

Jokes aside an "Old School Panelbeater" should be able to pull out the dent in the tank, if you can find one.

Hand is already pissing me off at the moment after the operation only 8 days ago.................. very little pain from the restapling to the bone of the uncoiled ulnar collateral ligament in the thumb, but I can't use it at all for at least a month, while it rejoins, well!..................... maybe just for a beer or two now & again, then the physio starts.

I've been sussing what I have to do to get the ol' girl re-registered, which doesn't seem too bad, just basic common sense stuff, but seeing as I have to wait so long before I can get stuck into repairing it, I'm arranging to get the top end freshened up in the meantime.

Funnily, the only hard to get part I think I will need is the rear passenger right side footpeg (part No 2GH27441 00 00) which looks very similar to the MkII (part No 4BR27441 00 00). I've been offered a supertenere footpeg, but I haven't been able to confirm yet whether it would fit, if anyone happens to have a Parts No List to confirm the numbers are the same I'd be grateful.

Many thanks

I know that Tony ............... just stirring

I'm currently working through the legal requirements of getting it re-registered at the moment.

As far as I'm concerned though, all the ol' girl needs is a muffler reskin, tank dent pulled, replace fairing with the second hand one I already have, then fresh paint touch up ................ and "Bob's ya uncle", all at a fraction of the prices the insurance company was quoting before they wrote it off.

If I didn't have rider gear coverage as a free option on my insurance policy (replacement costs will be around $1,400) I probably would have just fixed the bike up myself and not let the insurance monsters get involved.

My naivety of insurance company procedures with my first insurance claim in 58 years has opened my eyes how easily things can be taken out of your hands.

F#*kin' regulations
