Yes that's what happened to mine now you mention it, did'nt take long either, likely a bad quality me thinks as well.

Seem to recall it was a definite no no for the 9r but the reason alludes me now, maybe to do with spark plug caps or iridium sparkies !! but then your's are doing the job.
