Did you get to Portugal ?
Â
No we didn't Ian - Storm Brian fecked things up for us  - Ferry to Santander was cancelled a day before we were due to set off, so we hd to go to Cherbourg instead - then had two wet & windy days down through France to our place. This meant at least 2 more days & another thousand miles to get to Portugal. so it was a no goÂ
Stopped there the night -eating pizza & drinking Corsican beer with Serge - then went over to the coast before setting off on the N260.
Stopped the night at Sort at the hotel Brases ( the one we stopped off for a meal at last year)
Carried on along the N260 the next day until we hit the back roads to Vitoria Gasteiz
Next day, we took more twisties to the Cantabrian coast & stopped over at San Vicente de Barquera, then spent our final two nights at the Del Oso
Found loads of new roads to blast along
Quote:Cheers from Down Under Mick, have a great year.  :good:

When are you coming to the Aussie outback, I can have a DR for you suitably trained for.  :oldgit: riders. Â
Ta for the birthday wishes Kym  - My current off road ambition is to bite decent section off the TET - 34000 kms of off-road tracks linked together throughout Europe - really fancy some of those tracks through the Alps & Pyrenees as a starter :badgerrock:
Hmmm, Pietra beer and a corsican pizza - lubberly ! BTW I left Serge a recommendation on Tripadvisor. :good:

Shame about Storm Brian messing up your plan Mick   still, you managed to salvage a decent trip once you'd got to Tautavel eh. I've got Hotel Brases pencilled in as a 2 night stop if we get over to the pyrenees, looks like there are some great roads around there. Still got the flyers and bumf from when we stopped there for lunch.
Yep that's gotta be a good stop off eh, lunch was lovely, see any bits off me 9r lying around Mick
