[b]I've been putting a few more bits back on me engwin Smile Got the rotor bacon, the clutch biscuit bacon, pistdoons bacon and hooned cylinders bacon.All crissycrossy honed-aded Smile[Image: 5415367429_f03b985c38_b.jpg]and fitteded Smile[Image: 5415367423_c76dd28855_b.jpg]Also got the new stem seals fitted, valves and springs etc back all lapped and no leaky SmileHoping to get the cams back in and the valve clearances checked next. I managed to get 2 of the 10 shims mixed up when I first took 'em out RolleyesOh yeah, I also found some further minor damage to the engine which I think was caused by the gearbox problem.Clutch boss and a clutch friction plate...[b]http://www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb/index.php?showtopic=20188Should be back in the frame in a couple o days Smile[b]
Lick lick on the honing there SR. Freaky deek water doohickabobs around the lioner on the mkII. Wonder why dey do dat den.Don't gots Bosseseseseses but can destroy one of my pride and joy clutches if your centre didn't polish up ok, no idea if mkI and mkII the same.Keep goin, nearly dare.
Yeah, they look really crude too, not nearly as noice as the mk1 wans. I just ordered a noo friction plate so will see how it fares with my repaired clutch boss. I managed to get da boss noice and flat again, and it's smoother than a brazilian Big Grin Thanks fer the sacrificial offererin' tho Smile
#2 Cyl at about phwoar o kwok as you look doon the holes...is that lioner damaged or just gease smudge?[b]
[b]It's just stain, tried a few chemicals on me QE2's, solvent degreaser, Acetone, etc, but couldn't get some of the stains off, it's more like the steel has been dyed/tainted. Can't see it once the gaskets on anyway Rolleyes Had a fink abaht the mk2 differently designed cylinder you mentioned. Maybe the extra bits take some pressure orf the heed gasket in some way.
