Handlebar accessories
I just purchased a Topeak Handy Phone Pack (www.topeak.com) and mounted on the TDM handlebars. I'm using it for the remote controller for my garage door. This will make it easier to get to the remote rather than searching for it in a bag or pocket. It's designed for bicycles but fits well on the TDM.

It attaches with a hose clamp style plastic strap and has a quick release mounting plate so you can take the bag with you. The rear pocket is big enough for the garage remote, the front pocket will hold a small phone, cash, etc. The plastic attachment is a little cheesy - I already rounded the corners of the nut using a metal allen wrench (metal on plastic, what were they thinking?). I don't know yet if it will hold up at speed, but I think the fairing will protect it. It stays out of the way of the tank, so that's good. It also doesn't hinder the line of sight to the gauges.

I'm a little worried that the handlebars may feel a little cluttered after time. I've been considering getting some end mounted mirrors. Has anyone tried those?

You can't balance your helmet on 'em. I had a right bar end mirror once, no left mirror, you couldn't see anything in it over 3,000 revs, and that was on a 4cyl, so imagine the vibrations off a twin. I'm suprised I wasn't in any accidents on that bike, no mirrors [Image: blink.gif] .
