Hi Guys
Has anyone had any dealings with this company as their online cateloge seems to have quite reasonable pricing. Is it a good brand?

Thanks
Appreciated Cheers

I've bought a few things from them in the past with no problems. Most recently a compression tester for a reasonable price that arrived within 36 hours of me ordering. They do also have shops but I've never been in one.

And how much did you pay for that compression tester? I take it it was a 10mm threaded one where the Gunsons one comes with 14 & 18mm adapters as standard.
Another boring night & I'm feeling pissed....

I couldn't recommend them from my recent experience and that of a couple of colleagues. They seem to take about a month to send stuff out and have a list of excuses for this... but the order does arrive.

£25 + postage. It's the Motrax one, comes with 10,12,14 and 18mm adaptors. Found it for the same price in on a couple of other web sites but M&P postage was quick.

These have been in business for about a hundred years. You used to have to phone and wait for ages for a Welsh guy to be really arsey with you. Their website is total rubbish, and I should know, I've built a few rubbish websites in my time. Searching on theirs is a real pain. Other than that, fine.

How long ago did you deal with them last? The company recently changed hands when the guy that started it all many years ago bought it back last year. It's more or less on my doorstep so I've never dealt with them mail order.
You could also try Busters, these guys used to work at M&P but left to start up on their own when the last management sent the business into a death spiral.

To be honest the last time and "never again" was actually early last summer.

i've had nothing but good things from M&P.
Their website can be a bit clunky at times, but give em a call and they can sort out what you want.
Busters Accessories is also owned by M&P now.
M&Ps Oxford branch has changed hands, was MPS Express, its now http://www.thefastone.co.uk.
their shop is also very good and they do mail order.

I mail ordered some soft panniers from MPS many years ago and and had a good service from them. Wasn't sure if they were linked to M&P or not.

Good 90% of the time.
I was once sent the wrong part (for a completely different bike).
A bit annoying that a lot of things they advertise are not actually stocked and can take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive. But they do arrive in the end.
I don't generally use the web-site because its a bit difficult to use. The catalogues good to browse through while your sitting on the b.. in the garage having a smoke.

Have waited and waited and waited for stuff from M&P and MPS and got pissed off with them. Don't know if they are the same outfit or not but both their websites are so similarly bad as to warrnat a conspiracy. Support your local dealer I say - they can get all the stuff M&P can, and if your local bod is more expensive, ask him for a discount. In my experience you usually get it, and it pays to be regular customer sticking your real live head round the door. And no I'm not on commission.
