today I had a chance to see the machine, struggled the seat off and sticker was rigth there '5PS 30' written on it. The salesman realised what I was after, then he showed me the brake tubes with dates '04/06' written on them => April 2006. This seems to be clear way of checking new motos. Cannot be older than that I guess.
By the way, this machine is quite rare in Argentina.

well it's definitely a '98 then. There are advantages to that though, the carbs are rebuildable and........................well that's the only advantage, the only disadvantage is that the later ones 've got a better gearbox.
Mine is a '98 bike os a '00 reg, an is Nitrams, it seems to be a very common occourance.

I found this bike on ebay, the day after I went to see it on Uxbridge, left a deposit and the day after I went to collect it.
The bike comes with a HPI document stating that it is from 2000, I think this bike had been for a while inside the shop before they gave it away.
Anyway... it is the bike that I was looking for, and I paid only £1.500, it is in well good conditions and it needs only to be polished and rided.
Unfortunately I am not alloud to upload any pictures at the moment, the administrator may be on holiday.

That's exactly the sime as Nitrams bike and my bike, which are both '98 bikes reg'd in 2000.
It is a lovely bike in great condition, and I think you got it for a good price.
