Noisy Clutch
Has anyone managed to silence the clutch scream that happens on some 900,s.

My 2002 does it almost all the time, only when the engine is really hot after about 75miles will it quieten down,

I am running fully synth oil.

It’s a case of, “They all do that, sir”. Mostly when cold or coming up due an oil change in the case of mine. I’d say it’s not the sound of impending doom, as mine’s been like it from new and on almost 63k miles now. I tend to just live with it. Some have fitted heavy duty clutch springs, but I don’t know if it’s a cure.

Oh well i will have to live with it.

Ahemmmmm. Jasoo000000 maaaaaaa jasooo000∅oOoooo maaaaaaaAaaãâ....2.

A few peeps used to modify the clutch basket or summat years ago to stop the squalk.

As Twev says... A feature rather than impending doom.
Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.
My first one did it, with heavy duty clutch springs, without HD springs, with competition plates and normal plates.

My second one does it too.

It's annoying but doesn't seem to be problematic

<p style="text-align:center;">Ohlins, PC3, fuel cut defeat, +4deg timing, 17" front wheel.
I stopped it by fitting a Surflex clutch kit, but its not a cheap solution.
my 850 did it and fitted 900 springs and it stopped
