Ha ha i used to do that a lot,,, only when pulling away from parking,,, now when in Europe i wrap a lenght of thin rope around the right mirror to remind me.

every time you look at mirror, you are reminded.

Not a bad idea, it's easy when you get off the tunnel as you are straight on to motorway, it's the next morning pulling out of the car park when you forget!
