Good news Pict. Also, I can draw some solace from the fact that you'll be getting up even earlier than me to make that ferry

I have 23 confirmed (not including me and Mrs TeDeum) plus some possibles (you know who you are). I have some biking mates here in Kerry who are interested in the rides out and social bits. By my estimation there are still 9 places left in the hostel and room for 500 in the camping field.
For anyone who remembers my earlier posting about Castlegergory only having 6 pubs now (one for every 50 of the population) there is good news in that one of the pubs which closed a couple of years ago after a fire is being re-furbished and expects be open for July.

Limerick is about 85 miles direct on a good road (not very twisty) with a more interesting road back, if you wanted it, via Foynes and Tarbert.

Cheers MyDears, Made a note of those towns
Of little interest, but from 1984 - 1997 I travelled to S/Irl for 3 days every month. Dublin/Meath/Limerick/Shannon Ind/Cork/Waterford. Loved it, loved it
Booked with Stena line online, the discount code for the MCN thing is A002 (put this in the offer code box, it knocks off 20%).
Fishguard to Rosslare, slow boat out, fast ferry back, £75 inc credit card fee. Nice lady at Stena gave me the code, the middle figures are zeroes, not Os

Fishgaurd route
Outward: 5th at 11:30 on the Stena Express
Return: 12th at 15:00 on the Stena Express

Another Matlock money-saving tip, but a bit too late for me as I've booked already. You can now use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to buy your StenaLine ferry tickets with Tesco "Deals". Usually Tesco vouchers are worth 4 times their face value when used as deals against the undiscounted price. So you should get a return ticket for around £25.00.
