French invaders!
Jeezus we are being invaded by the French!!!

Welcome all! - and its certainly better than a premptive strike from the USA!

Aye, they all talk like that up in the hills - you'd better practice before you visit. [Image: jester2.gif]

Seriously, though, good move HM [Image: clapping.gif] Some say, I believe, that Google Translate is more realistic than Babelfish.

Good idea. [Image: good.gif] My French could certainly benefit from practice - it's quite rusty. Or might it be an idea initially for each side to write in their own language then somebody on the other side could translate? (Always easier and more accurate that way around). Then people could increase their use of the other language as confidence increases?

As a Scot, I made a "pilgrimage" to the Pan-Celtic Festival at Lorient a few years ago - we camped near Quimper then near Carnac, and travelled all around. Great music, scenery, hospitality and food. This year's festival should be in about 3 weeks or so, I guess? I can still remember the amazing sound of Bagad Kemper! Also the piping competitions, costumes and dancing in Vannes: a fine place.
Hi Pict,
I'm from a small village located between Concarneau and Quimper.
Unfortunately, for business reasons, I had to leave to Rennes which is for sure less "grass root" than my native Finistère.
As for the "Festival Interceltique de Lorient", it will start on August, 3rd and Scotland will be the invited guest country this year!
Another exciting event just took an end today: the"Festival de Cornouailles" in Quimper.
Any chance to see you in Brittany for another "pilgrimage"?
