Difficulty Selecting Neutral. Mk1
When coming to a stop triggers broom don't wanna go into neutral. I can go up and down the gears no probs passing neutral but it don't wanna go in.

With enjun stopped it'll go into neutral no probs.

This is a new problem and suspect its summat worn in grrr box.

Any ideas or anyone had similar?

if your clutch and gear change lever are ok, sometimes an engine flush and fresh oil can help

it's not my time to go, it's not my time to die
the last thing I want is for my family to cry
Thanks chaps. I plan on the oil change for winter and will go from there.

Have plenty of clutch plates to test with and will make sure the cable is in spec.

Is this one up in the miles?

Ridges in the clutch basket where the plates contact can cause this.

I filed off some ridges on my Mk1, but if it made a diff I don't know. New clutch plates - lovely clutch😎. Some 110k ish kms on the clock

Clutch drag will do this..Not releasing properly.

Ahhh the clutch cable freeplay spec is 8 to 12 mm ...not miles. That may be the problem! Will know by summer.

I had this briefly after I replaced my clutch plates, but after a couple hundred miles it sorted itself out!
