The Magic Of The Tdm
It might be an old bike now, mine is a 2002 900, but it’s taken me all over Spain and Portugal with no issues. It’s a reliable cheap to run comfortable workhorse.

Simple to maintain and easy to fix, mine will be slightly overdue the shim check when I get back.

Three of the breed on tour.

I did my duty and tested out the cake shops, Portugal takes the crown. Cake there is almost a law.

Thanks for the cakey info.
Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.
Im home now the TDM performed flawlessly, not bad for an old bike. All the spares I carried ( stator, coil and alternator cover gasket )were not needed as is always the way.

New front tyre needed now.
glad you had a good time,  are those spares you carried known to be issues ?, my absence means I still need some catch up

it's not my time to go, it's not my time to die
the last thing I want is for my family to cry
Alternator stator can go, but easy to change and small enough to fit under seat vacuum packed. Coil went inside rear fairing, spare clutch cable was next to existing one cable tied in place.
