Meetup In Memory Of Wicklamulla (Ken)

Wickys wife, Mole, has posted up a meet up in memory of Wicky...

Several of you have approached me and said you wanted to share memories with me and Ken's other friends, as you didnt get time in 2022.



Those friends and I would like to invite you, Kens friends including his online pals, to an afternoon into evening of BBQ, Beer and Music to remember the man who filled our lives. It will take place on



Saturday 12th July 2025, 3pm onwards

at

The Half Moon Inn, Cheriton Fitzpaine, Devon.



Pete and Sharon at The Half Moon are happy for you to pitch a tent in their garden, there are also rental properties, hotel rooms and Airbnb locally. You may like to bring your partners and children to make a weekend of it in our beautiful Devon.



If you could drop myself, Alun Lew, Mark Kelly, David Dobedoe or Steven Nicholls a DM to let us know if you can make it and the amount of people youll be bringing, also if you want to set up your tent in the pub garden, as a guide for us. We will be setting up a Facebook page for the event to share details as it gets closer.



Good news, Kens Cake Fairies will be back from retirement for the day!

I seem to remember trying to find the hole for the key !! or maybe it was in a box on the wall with a code, must of been hilarious for those watching

I have never met Ken personally but I have, like many others been touched by his wisdom on TDM's and generosity (sent a part to Spain and wouldn't take payment!). I would love to be at that gathering for Ken but also to meet the other Carpe legends. I'm going to do some googling and planning to have a good go at making it there. Hope to see some of you there. I'll do my best to bring Spanish sunshine.

I'd like to make this but won't know for sure yet - I'll book some accomodation nearby that can be cancelled. I might add a few days either side as I've never been biking around that area.



I only met Wicky the once, just after I'd bought my first TDM so about 2007? We were on a ride out somewhere around West London or west of london but the memory's not so good now. I think Tonydevil was there but again I could be wrong.....



Like a lot of other people on here I've had a lot of communication with him in the past and found him incredibly helpful and always entertaining - I found the news so sad when I found out.



I'm not on here so often nowadays but I'm hoping me and my current niner will be there.
