Weird intrument issues
Â
a) Clock shows running hours not time of day and resets to 1.00 every so often
b)Temperature gauge works fine when engine running but when ignition switch is turned off stays at last running temp. This will then drop back to normal when engine has cooled and igtition switch turned on again
Â
Any ideas or inspiration anyone?

Low battery, it resets on starting load dropping voltage low

What Lee said above. Might also be worth checking you CO settings too as they can do funny things if the battery voltage drops too low when cranking.

A low battery can't provide enough current to start the engine and keep the digital dash alive while cranking

Many thanks for the responses, sorry I didn't respond earlier as I got called away to an emergency job 10 minutes after opening post.
New battery time calls then.

Lets see if that sorts the temp gauge out as well.

Got to admit to thinking there's something wrong with the dash not shutting down draining the battery. Fingers crossed.
