Ulez....and The Winner Is
Hi All,

so my Mk 2 passed ULEZ testing and even tho i'm £175 pounds lighter i am free to roam south of the north circ.

I went to these ppl in Deptford, mostly because they were very agreeable on the phone and in person.

And also because their policy is 'if it don't pass, you don't pay'

https://www.thetestcentre.co.uk/our-test...rd-branch/

Rule of thumb for passing is:

Airbox/carb connection not leaking and your shims are in good tolerance.

Good luck to those who need it

cheers

So if they know these bikes are compliant why don’t they just come up as compliant? Oh, £175 you say……..

got mine tested last week (garfield motors in Enfield) , a 1998 model and it passed with flying colours. May also have to venture south of the north circ again

Does anyone know where the nasty pollution which Ulez is supposed to be about, normally lurks ?

It's hard to find it on the official pollution monitoring website https://londonair.org.uk/LondonAir/Default.aspx

Yes, he normally lurks in City Hall, when not telling lies on the telly or swanning around in a 300 grand Range Rover.

Out of curiosity, since I never plan to ride within the area, I went on the ULEZ checker and checked both my TDMs. The 2012 is compliant but the 2004 isn't. Makes no sense to me, but what do I know?

2004 900 - Blue with lots of goodies

2012 900 - Still adding shiny bits. Was black, changed to white and now back to black again.

Its done on date of manufacture. A blunt instrument
