Moved my economy meter project on, a bit more.

The display is 8 coloured LED (Blue...cyan...blue/green....green...greeny yellow...yellowy/orange...orange....red)

The goal is that the display will show how economically you're riding in real time, with a moving coloured LED

A trip average economy indicator is shown with a stationary LED at the same time.

It should be useful and easily adapted to any fuel injected engine where the injectors are switched on the low side, and which have a constant fuel rail pressure

Now that I've figured out which ECU wire to intercept (injector low side switched) , I need to write the code which calculates the amount of fuel being consumed from that signal.

Might add a shift light further down the line, although I don't think it's of  much use to me in everyday riding.

If anyone is interested in maybe trying one as a tester for me, feel free to drop me a brief message

It's going to be easy to set up, 3 connections, one to a switched 12V, one to ground, and one to the injector switch signal. Bike protection built in as standard Smile

Went for a ride into Wales, and lost my MRA Chinese copy screen spoiler lol

I looked down at the sat nav, all of a sudden noise, something hit my helmet , initially I thought something had been flung at me,

did't notice the  spoiler missing, shame it looked nice while I had it, the arms sheared straight off

Lee it was a bit of a trial, I bought a new helmet which does not like the TDM standard screen, terrible noise

so I was looking for a solution, this kind'a worked,

Ideally I would like a Genuine Yamaha touring screen the +145 5PS-W0710-10-00 - anyone??

Then fit a MRA X-Creen spoiler to it, I have had a MRA complete X-Creen before and the screen  part is too short to be of benefit

it's a waiting game now, to see what comes up :rotflmmfao:

Leyburn, N. Yorks. for a Thurs,Fri,Sat night stay.

Richmond on Friday vis bus for food, beer and shopping.

Saturday we used the Wensleydale railway to Leeming.Bar, then back to Bedale for beer n food and again the train to Leyburn (more beer).

Rode home & saw 0 bikes today WTF? Did a butterfly flap its wings in Fiji - not enough rain to qualify as visor rain.

Took it for a run, then treated it to fresh oil and a new filter.

The best thing about being old is we did all our stupid stuff before the Internet was invented, so there’s no proof.

Does the campsite have showers ?  Quite like the idea of bussing it to Richmond for essentials Smile
LoL

1 shower & 1 toilet,  which you can't  use if someone is in the shower.

Pub does no food and all transactions are in cash.

Bus stop for Richmond is 1.5 miiles away and all trips on the Dales Bus cost £2 until Oct 2023 Oh and the last bus back is 16:30
