On my way to sort AlIG shims last Friday I hit deep mud across road on A68 two miles south of the border. Scrubbed speed off but lost front at 20 mph. Just scraped panniers on bike but bar bashed me in ribs. Medic wasnt happy with the old crocks readouts (me) so I went off to hospital in Melrose, bike went to Newcastle via the Police. AliG collected me from the hospital with two busted ribs and I stayed overnight with him because they wouldnt let me out otherwise. He ran me up to my hotel, sorted me out with getting spare clothes etc over the weekend . On Monday he collected my bike from Newcastle police putting me on train and taking my bike back to his home.
A real good guy and he wont let me pay him a penny.
Eeeks Lee! What a nuisance. How are you doing now? What's the next stage of the rescue operation?

This is all very well, but I never got my bloody shims done!
He did help me find an elusive missing main beam on the blue niner. I had worked back wards to find the fault but didn't go far enough. Fault was in those pesky connectors under the air filter. Pulled them apart, sprayed with Servisol, reconnected and job was done. Thanks Lee

2012 900 - Still adding shiny bits. Was black, changed to white and now back to black again.
