Abba Skylift
Whats the opinion on here of them - do we have many users? I understand you need a stable floor which I have and I wouldn't expect to torque up a rear wheel  of my Tiger (150nm) whilst it's in the air but are they a usable solution?

I've got a Hydraulic bench which works fine and is very stable but I'm thinking of selling it and replacing with a skylift as it takes up too much room.

I've got three bikes in a single garage along with storage etc and it's a constant battle for room - one always had to be stored on the bench and if I do need to work on a bike one has to be moved outside or at least partially with the door open. This obviously makes it cold at this time of year and I do prefer to keep the bikes out of sight as much as possible away from prying eyes.

I'm assuming no-one on here will come up with the stupid solution offered by my daughter of selling one of my toys...................

Farkles - Laser Duo Techs, MTC Stainless Exhausts, Laser Duo Techs, Power Commander and custom map, Tenere 1200 Handguards, Yamaha Heated Grips, MRA Vario screen, SW Motech Alurack,  Givi and Hepco and Becker top boxes, Givi Engine bars, Garmin Zumo XT
They dont fold very well and you cant take the swing arm out on one. Very much like abba stand on a jack.

Selling one of your toys is unthinkable. As to daughter, disown her if she carries on with this nonsense.
I have an EazyRiser.

At least one other here has taken my recommendation for this - it's compact, stable and you can get under the bike.

I have wondered about a DNA test with some of the comments she comes out with.......

Although I did tell her they didn't make intercoms for bikes when she used come out as a pillion with me. She was a bit upset when I fitted a Sena a couple of years back.

Is there anything else you cant do other than remove the swingarm?

You can remove swinger on some bikes by fitting swing arm removal adapters. For a niner its easy to turn a pair out of stainless using the M8 thread in the footpeg plates. Boss diameter needed is 27mm.
Skylift works very much like the Abba stand
I think Mole has an Easyriser to sell and she's daan Saaf.

I had considered an easyriser but have decided on a skylift as I already have a few fitting kits including the TDM and XJR1300 and they seem to have a kit for most possibilities.

I was also thinking of a skylift, but according to their website, they're not compatible with a TDM 900. Does anyone that has one know what works with it?

Thanks.

I have a skylift, then I bought a TDM900. The lowest it goes whilst lining up the mounts is ever so slightly above the swing-arm pivot points. A 1" thick bit of wood under the rear wheel raises the bike enough to make the connection.

That's the reason Abba can't market it as compatible - I rang them up when I queried that you can buy TDM900 adapters from them for the Abba stand but not the skylift.
Ah ok, thanks for the info 👍
