I've got a blown fork seal on a 900 that's done less than 8000 miles. It occurs to me that some good old fashioned rubber gaiters might help to stop this happening again. Has anyone here fitted gaiters? What size is required? Do they look ok or completely naff?

gaiters need about 43mm top, anything around 40mm will do they stretch, allow for 150mm of fork travel, bottoms need to be about 50-60mm. They do work. Chect your stanchions for small pits or dings on the bit that slides through the seal.

Probably doesn't help having crater sized potholes everywhere.

To be fair, a mistake we've likely all made, from time to time...

Anyone know if Arthurbikemad is still selling fork gaiters? BSM is doing fork oil change on both bikes at the moment, and our ancient gaiters need replacing. Ive tried messaging Arthur on eBay but no response.
