Yesterday went to a small beginner moto gymkhana event, if you can call it that. Never done it before. Rode 200km to get there and after that 200km back home. Was a good trip.
I put the last stage up on youtube. My time was 3:39, fastest person was 3:08, so a lot of improvement to be had.
DIZZY?? I put my foot down four times and fell off the toilet!!
Great effort there, thanks for making me wonder what I've been doing on a bike for 40 years!!
Lock onto my co-ordinates and beam me up !!

Quote:Looks a lot of fun, I got dizzy watching bits of that!
I'd have thought a TDM is a bit top heavy for that sort of riding.
Â
Hehe, had same effect after watching it myself. Next time I will mount the camera to the top of the helmet to try it like that, might be less dizzing.
Â
As for TDM being top heavy, I had no Issues with that. TDM 900 is very stable, never felt the bike would do something unexpected. If it did, it was all me.
My problem was clutch and throttle control. Didn't keep RPMs high enough at some points so loss of power to the rear wheel made me lose balance. If you lose power to the rear wheel, the bike does not want to do tight moves anymore
I have the disadvantage of only being about 5' 8" and a lightweight weakling so do find it tricky at low speed manouvers, also my balance is buggered due to ms and I tend to take signals from my eyes instead of the ears doing the balancing, don't ask me to work from a ladder FFS.

Well this morning at 09.00 I took my first tdm for an mot, would my run of passing first time at P+R tyres continue.
Phone rings 15 minutes later, hmmm, thoughts of a problem⦠âhave you changed the clocksâ âyesâ I replied, previous owner had made a mess of repairing the original speedo, âok, no problemâ they replied, ready in 30 minutes.
