Cheers chaps, all water under the bridge now, aye Dave needed time away to make a decision, i'll recoup some costs which can go towards the new bike, did consider another engine but could only maybe bring new headaches..

ya in a rush to shift it on? I wonder what you'd let it go for without breaking it? tempted to 'loan' you an enjun.
spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir,
forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector," NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel
CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 20
07 on a dyno run it made
79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.
With all that other work I'd be looking towards swapping complete engine rather than breaking, it's a gamble but these things are hardly renowned for unreliability issues (except yours of course :unsure2: ).
Current toys: '99 XT600E, 2000 4TX, '82 Princess 30DS (where the username comes from), No longer a '03 Fazer thou.
Well that's not good. Sorry for you mate, after all that graft, but at least you've received a lot of educashon in the process ;-)
A Himalayan though? There's taking life slowly so you can smell the flowers and then there's taking life so slowly that moss grows on you! :rotflmmfao: And there was me thinking you were a man of taste and erudition..... I ain't waiting for no Himalayan if we're out together, I don't think the Crosstourer can go that slowÂ
Good luck with the new steed anyways fellah, whatever you go for will be less stressful :good:
Don't listen Cliff, it's about the smiles per mile. My Classic 500 with only 27 hp on a really good day, still made it 3000 miles to Spain and back and never fails to provide a good time. Touring on the Himalayan in tight hilly roads like hardkott pass will put the mighty CT in it's place. The later ones even have a form of satnav built in.
At the end of the day 60mph is the limit on normal roads, life at 55mph can be very pleasant indeed.

Â
Started breaking Ken, not worth to move it on without breaking, it's the only way to recoup some loss, got a bit carried away with the spendys but thanks for the offer would likely have took you up on it last year..

Nah Dave i made my mind up, deciding factor just lack of space/garage/shed, i did consider the option though..
Quote:Bugger that looks like somethings has gone seriously wrong.
Feel for you after all that work you put in. Your Himalyan will serve you well. As far as I know Muddy swears by his.
As always anything you need in the stainless line just get
In touch.

Cheers Lee, Murphy lives in my house dont you know....

wonder what kinda figure yer hoping to make when ya sell off all the components? Thought it may be worth more as a mint rolling chassis minus an enjun as you have done all the hard work.

Name your price Cliff, Ken might take you up on it ? You could get on with buying yer Himmy and enjoying the spring, rather than spending months parting it out and posting bits.
