So how about a picture by/in a river/road ford :good: :good:
Ha. You beat me to it, Graham. I had intended a run to St Mary's Loch to re-create this pic from 2019, but the weather up here has been awful. Where is that one? Ali

Same one Ali, Cappercleuch, was expecting a picture from you and Chris whilst he was up there. :good:
Edit: note to self, read ALL the thread before posting
That has given me an interesting project to play with in the winter months. Plot the position of all the boxes in Scotland and to come up with a route to visit all seven. Might need a weekend for that. - Edit: No might about it - there are over 300 miles between them and I still need to get home from Inverness.

Nine if you include the two moved into museums as listed at the foot of the next section - at Alford & Glasgow (the latter with my pet hate mis-spelling of Inveraray!)
Â
You can stop at the museums to eat cake! There's a nice new garden centre (with cafe) almost opposite the Threaplands one too.

Thanks Steve. I didn't scroll down that far. Alford is easy enough as it is close to 2 of the seven, but then you would have to pay to get in and would be distracted by all they have on offer. Think I would limit it to all the roadside boxes. Even then it is a 600 mile round trip.

Lunchtime today at West Linton (Borders) 15 miles South of Edinburgh here where Chapel Brae crosses the Lyne Water; taken from the East side. ( - and NO, I didn't try using the ford - the water is a bit wide and deep. A bike could cross the footbridge). The gloves I got from Matlock were ace in the cold.
Â
OK? If so my suggestion for the next challenge is a pic of a TDM at a railway level crossing - with gates/barrier.

Bummer. I had planned a trip for Sunday. Level crossings are few and far between in the Scottish Borders. Waiting with baited breath, Lewis, to see if I can change my plans for Sunday to do your challenge. It is likely to be the last run out for a while, as it is getting noticeably wintry up here. I must have lived in the South of England too long and turned into a Southern Softie. Ali
