Been Very Naughty, It Was The Free Coffee Honest
I fell for it in Southport Superbikes 20yrs ago. Girlfriend and I sitting on the then new R1150RS,..."doesn't have to be a dream sir", sales person says. To clinch the deal, said gf says " I'll pay for the luggage!" Kerching.

Chopped in TDM 3VD (Privately) and Bob was my dad's brother! Beware, a. Sales people and b. Girlfriends. !!
Lock onto my co-ordinates and beam me up !!

04 900 - 92 mk 1 - r 1150 rs - Z550 A1 - 2x bonnies - plastic slug -XL185 - ...not in that order !! (and one or two i don't want / dare to own up to !!)
It looks like younger brother is trading his Honda CT in for a 1250 GSA with all the options.

Shocked What, does he like visiting dealer's service departments? Something he'll have been deprived of during his Crosstourer ownership :rotflmmfao: .

I can't quite see the sense in it either, so now I have two BM fookin'w's in the family.

The CT has been faultless only the centrestand pivot issue.

Oh the embarrassment of it. I'll have to emigrate. They know not what they do.
Is he going for a brand spanking new one Lee ?
Yes the GSA TE with all the options boxes ticked, Within a whisker of £17K
It's done deal he's stumped up and bought it.

However, he hasn't planned this very well, in the garage are a pair of brand new Metzeler tourance tyres and genuine Honda pads and a set of genuine workshop manuals. So he may sell.off as a cheap job lot.
If he's selling them, I'll have the pads off him Lee, Crosstourers eat the things Rolleyes .

As you know I cannot fault the BMW GS. On my 3rd now and yes it's the latest all singing and dancing TE.

Loads of power and I still can't bring myself to plug in the Pro chip!

Tried the XR and while it was fun I couldn't see myself lasting all day on the 'seat'
This new one is 134 hp,more than my 3 tonne van.

Apparently it does everything except make the coffee.

He calls my TDM the old nail, but I like the light weight of it.

Isn't it related to how much the rider uses the fun control in hare mode, instead of tortoise mode ? ?
What is tortoise mode???? I don't believe the TDM's ever had that fitted, only honda could dream up such a pointless thing. Lol

Current toys: '99 XT600E, 2000 4TX, '82 Princess 30DS (where the username comes from), No longer a '03 Fazer thou.

Save the planet, it's the only one with beer!
Hate and Tortoise lol. That’s  a bit of a hangover from the control panel icons on the access machines I used to work on.

Currently twisting his arm to get the best deal, for a fellow carpeadian.

GSA owners aren't short of a few bob.
The price of modern bikes is getting a bit eye watering isn't it.  Plus they're all getting so complex I can't believe they'll be anywhere near as reliable as my 900 when they get to that age.

My first driving test had that.  4 gears on one lever.  2 forwards and 2 reverses on another lever.  Knock one of the levers across to switch between hare and tortoise.  Separate a push button overdrive.  32 forward and 32 reverse gears  Lol

1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now Sad

2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

Were working at a BMW mcycles place today. Crap tops and plug in doohickeys everywhere...and a sea of body panels. (✷‿✷)
Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.
Was reading on the GS forum about all the settings and adjustments on the latest bikes.  Seems quite a few don't bother using any of them once they've set their bike up.

I remember waiting at Calais for the ferry and Doddy getting one up on Sidey as Doddy's GS (newer model) automatically adjusted the timezone on his satnav when we crossed one and Mick had to manually adjust his.
For me a motorcycle, is one engine, two wheels and keep all as simple as possible. Less to go wrong.
