What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today?
OK the oil change has been completed with a large amount of frustration.

Found the last oil filter in my area (Yamaha part number 5JX-13440-00), when I went to install it I found I could not close the oil filter cover. Located and purchased an aftermarket item which fitted perfectly.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Just as I finished the oil change it was announced that we are in lockdown again so maybe no riding for a while.

The only problem I've had was finding the o-ring which came with the filter was too large.

Lockdown riding is fine if it's an essential journey :good:
<p style="text-align:center;">Ohlins, PC3, fuel cut defeat, +4deg timing, 17" front wheel.
Never bought a Yamaha oil filter so can't comment, strange it doesn't fit though.  I allus use Champion oil filters, easy to buy, here in blighty, and work just as well.
+1 for champion. Probably best value item in Halfrauds.
Lock onto my co-ordinates and beam me up !!

04 900 - 92 mk 1 - r 1150 rs - Z550 A1 - 2x bonnies - plastic slug -XL185 - ...not in that order !! (and one or two i don't want / dare to own up to !!)
Bought and installed a Garmin Zumo 396 onto my TDM850. I was getting a bit fed up with my old Garmin Nuvi which was showing signs of surliness, and I thought the mounting on the Zumo was much better.

But, god's teeth, this has been a bloody Lost Weekend !  The damned Zumo just refused to obey me all Saturday and had me flouncing off to bed in a right huff. I'd left it on charge overnight on the kitchen table and when I got up it was smugly announcing that it was "no longer in Demo Mode and would now operate normally".  Despite it being the Sabbath day, there was a fair amount of cursing this morning !  What a bloody footery damned contraption.  I eventually got a couple of routes successfully installed on it and a short local test route.  So off for a short 30km run to test it out . OK so far , but there's a lot of stuff on this thing.  Maybe a source of distraction ?  Personally, I wont be having sounds on it, or a telephone linked to it and probably half of the alerts have been switched off.

So why did I buy it ?   I was expecting it to be easier to load routes onto and to just be a bit slicker to use than my 10 year old Garmin Nuvi.

Well it's not !.....so far.

And I still like the mount....

I'd be interested on your thoughts regarding this to
I put my battery in it.

My first chance Ive had and the MoT is tomorrow.

And. the battery was as flat as my stomach isnt.

Gonna be an interesting morning getting it started tomorrow.

But all going well will take my fair lady for a ride tomorrow evening after work.
MoT done.

Legal again!

Beeline works ok, you just have to get your head around how it works. I like compass mode, pick your own roads. It's a bit like taping a list of roads to your tank, it just says turn left or right etc. About the size of a large compass.

Appreciate that

So easy enough to use?
