Cleaned it, and adjusted the new chain took it for a test run. Got to give it love or it might get jealous of the new shiny tart in the garage.

It reminded me why I like it so much, torque.
Yesterday, took the TDM for its first run of the year, 260 miles around the Borders from near Carlisle across to Eyemouth, and ventured into Englandshire twice.

I had promised myself my first ride of the year would be on the rebuilt Cagiva, and that happened on 2nd June. My MOT man, a 2-stroke fella with a reverse cylinder 250TZR, was complimentary and full of tips. The boxes of bits came together, along with a significant amount of stainless fasteners, and it ran first prod of the button, once I had remembered to turn on the fuel!

The TDM felt great, also started first time and ran perfectly after its eight month layoff, and the weather did its part to make the day out most enjoyable. I will now have to repay the workshop time with house DIY, methinks.

F@@k the patio cleaning, but you'd have to be a brave man.

No chance of popping out for the detergent 😉

Surprisingly you might have to visit several shops to get it 🤣🤣
Stopped here for a (sideways), brew

Going off the hill with the trees and the heather in the distance, also the small brook, I'd say you were in North Yorkshire. Big Grin

Bloody lightweight Eric. Lol  I'm pretty busy this week but will deffo get over there if I get a bit more notice to sort Ma's needs out aforehand.
Rode down to Newcastle and back on an errand.

I think I'll try 30W fork oil , after watching a Dave Moss Tuning video, because it will apparently give me a better range of damping adjustment for my lardy weight.

<p style="text-align:center;">Ohlins, PC3, fuel cut defeat, +4deg timing, 17" front wheel.
Eat less pies ?

I suspect the compression damping will be harsh with 30W

So do I but I'll give it a try, with the damping adjuster set in the 'softest' position.

ATF has served me pretty well until now, but if there is an improvement over ATF it'll be worth it

Are they just smaller than normal pies ?

ATF appears to have a eight between 7.5 and 10
