Quote:A few days ago FINALLY got the carb settings correct. Today took it for a ride from Kingsport, TN to Roanoke VA. tomorrow heading to Harper's Ferry, WVA

Con-f$*&×#-gratulations! Myself I chickened out from carb settings and bought new ones. Maybe I should put the old ones in a place where they can be seen every day to make me bow in shame, to remind me I'm an imperfect and weak human being whenever I shold get cocky....😁

Quote:These foot pegs could be the answer to my prayers. Took the 9'r for a 2 hour ride out the other day and had trouble getting off of it when I got back. I'm 67 you know. The knees ain't what they used to be. Told the Mrs that I thought it was time to be looking for a maxi scooter. However, having seen your post has given me hope. I can see that these foot pegs could fit the RG engine bars,so can you please tell me where I can get them? Haven't got the bars yet, but will definitely be getting them if I can get the foot pegs. I do like the quality from the RG kid from Poland, having bought a centre stand from him recently.
me?

these are the polish engine bars but i had to get a thicker tube welded on to accommodate the wider bore of the highway pegs.

i bet if you ask raffal he would do that for you. the bar had to be there to orientate the pegs for the feet.

great on long journeys though.

got the pegs off aliexpress

"As I Lay Rubber down to street, I pray for traction I can keep. But if I skid and begin to slide, please dear god protect my ride"

Mods; Oil pressure switch, neoprene rear inner mudguard, scottoiler, highway pegs,  fenda extenda, 1999 carbs and airbox, Kais suspension setup, later clutch springs, LED lamps, Metmachex swingarm, Hagon Shock, Oxford heated grips, 4 way fused accessory Bus, 17" 3CV front wheel, Michellin R6 tyres, GPS speedo, 5' ignition advance.
Thank you very much for that Drewpy. Although the 9'r crash bars are different to yours, there is greater facility for making the modification necessary to fit the footpegs. I have contacted Rafal to see if this is possible. Cheers.
Re footpegs, another option for a bit more legroom is pegs with a slight drop like the MFW Vario pegs, mine have about a inch drop which makes a noticeable difference.

As for what have you done to your TDM today...

Having moved job, house and country, my bike has been sat unloved in the open fronted work bikeshed for far too long.  Had to jump start it to get it going on Friday at took it home to give it a clean as it was absolutely filthy.  New CTEK charger apparently arrived at home this morning as my optimate had died, so hoping it can recover the battery, otherwise a new one will be needed.  I don't really want to ride it too far until it's had a service, and all my tools are still in storage as we're still house hunting (house prices have gone mental with places selling for more than 50k over the asking price!), and I don't really have anywhere to keep the bike in our rented place... so it's probably going to be spending a while yet sat unloved in the work bikeshed Sad

The TDM has performed hearse duty, the box of remains was somewhat larger than I anticipated when collected, but it fits in a v46 topbox ok. June 21st is the day, as the pagans tell me everything is aligned to give him the best chance.
Got the niner mot’d today after giving it a service last week. Sailed through as always. Put some fresh fuel in tans went for a relatively sedate 30 mile ride to learn how to ride again. Ten minutes in and it all felt like home again. Having a chat with Chris the mot tester, it was pointed out that he’d carried out every mot on my bike since the very first one. Apparently, I’m known as the Maserati man in the text station because we take all our fleet there.

Was going to fit the shock today ------ hmm that battery looks a bit FAT in the middle. I'd noticed the battery performance was dropping off. Battery out - Fat AF.

LT12B-BS ordered. I'm going to find out if a lithium battery is up to the job.

Hands washed and commiserative beer acquired, F1 it is then :cake eating:

Shock will be fitted when battery is at hand.

New wet proof jacket for the fatter in the middle rider arrives tomorrow Lol
