Edd China Series
I watched whatever program he was in before a few times and this is much better.

No eeejit whacking other people's cars with his ringed hand and sitting on the front of them with jean studs. Made me want to kick his legs away. And then waffling on about making a "profit". Ignoring the labour and transport costs...a bit like mystic baldric.

Anyways, this is just a dude fixing stuff.

Lol Haha, he's the wideboy version ! he's got the same initials as Mystic Baldric....Mike Brewer.  Apparently he got death threats for spitting up with Ed.  Huh  I like Ed China, he's a true gent and very knowledeable when it comes to design and mechanicals, and he's a bit bonkers now and then. Big Grin

I'll have a watch on pootoob lata. :good:
That's the one. Always dragging his mittens over a car or slamming the doors or whacking the bonnet down...no finesse or care.

I can't say I felt the need to kill him but he was awfully annoying.

:good: +1 on Mike Brewer. There's also that muppet Tim Shaw on Car SOS  . He too works with a knowledgeable and personable spanner man - Fuzz Townshend. Obviously some TV executive came up with the format of teaming up a decent mechanic with a t*sser and every car restoration show since has followed the formula.

I've been watching the Ed China videos, much more my kind of thing :munching_out: .

lol. Very true Chris. The exception, if you include motorbike shows too, is Mystics spanner man who wasn't/isn't up to much, just ask ChrisR.

Brewer is/was a car salesman, got his own car sales empire.  Says everything really.

I remember Ed China appearing on tv way back, driving his sofa car.  I think he started and owns Grease Junkie.

Is that the man who "restored" this 550/4 ?
No, Ed China is a very competent mechanic.
Wasn't it one of henry cole's knobhead mates that screwed up restored the 550/4?

Current toys: '99 XT600E, 2000 4TX, '82 Princess 30DS (where the username comes from), No longer a '03 Fazer thou.

Save the planet, it's the only one with beer!
liked eds new show no cuts to mysteriously completed parts and in episode 1 he like most of us had to buy a new part after all attempts to remove some bolts failed

ie more mechanicals less bullshit

Yes.

Was he trying to remove the disc bolts on a TDM ?  I agree with you, less bs and more mechanicals. :good:
I usually find Mike Brewer annoying, but take a look at the video he did in Afghanistan a few years back.  He went out on a Medical Emergency Response Team Chinook flight, came under fire, and the pilot got hit.  You can see the moment it all goes from being fun tagging along on a flight to him realising they could all be in trouble.

This is much more like my tinkering.....spray some stuff with monkey pith..do a few bits...get distracted....need a part...do summat else for a few Mo's...wonder where the day has gone.

Lol Might be a chinese copy he's using.
That was actually pretty close to how you pronounce the 'Umlaut' at the beginning of the name. But as we speak English here, mostly, and we got no 'Umlaute', yes that is what the plural is, we are allowed to say it any way we like. Class!
How cool. I have been saying it wrong all these years. ʘ‿ʘ

Umlaut and chips is one of me faves.

While watching the last episode I did wonder why he had all those posh high end tools ...and then. a Teng torque wrench!! Noubt wrong with them for occasional use but not really great for professional/regular use.

It's all for telly, just to look good, the real work gets done by others, probably outside firms.
But it's on youtube Lee. Lol

Cheers Muppdog, we live and learn. Smile

"Product placement". Advertising money.

Was it worth watching?
