Fortunately, Favs has the Force, so just levitates into the tent. Lol  Is that on the Cropton landing pad Al ?
Aye that's the place - 5 pints + dinner in the pub + a lark getting into bed

Beer fest is cancelled and the Hidden Valley Rally could be too (most likely). If law allows we'll probably have a few nights there in the middle of Nov.

Just installed my new had saddlebags from Viking Bags. I never knew this company and that they are giving away 30% discount. I wonder what made me post this on this thread but I am over whelmed by it.

MOT today - pass with advisory on front tyre so ordered a pair

Then gave it an Oil change
Sort of fitted the spoiler I just bought from Picard to the stock screen, been to my mums for a visit and found it superb, always been well battered 80 and above, 125 a tad over 70 indicated and despite a bit of side buffeting (well it's been a blustery cross wind today) the head blast on had gone pretty much entirely, thanks Picard I only bought it on a daft whim, to be fair I only bought the TDM on a daft whim, I gotta get myself a lottery ticket on a daft whim instead of the usual desparate bid for retirement options..... Sorry Sb, did I say £20, I meant £60, but we can haggle!!

Glad it worked for you fella, and thanks payment.

I hope you appreciated the engineering that went into the packaging!!
Lock onto my co-ordinates and beam me up !!

04 900 - 92 mk 1 - r 1150 rs - Z550 A1 - 2x bonnies - plastic slug -XL185 - ...not in that order !! (and one or two i don't want / dare to own up to !!)
Started my niner after charging it's completely flat battery (probably goosed now) . (and 2 year old fuel was no problem !)

Earlier in the day I was out on the KTM 620 and noticed a bit of vibration (more than the normal huge amount) , and heard clunking at times, so it looks like the curse of the early LC4 engine has finally bit. Oh well, it was just a matter of time.

The main shaft which the clutch mounts on has a heavy duty bearing behind the clutch. 6 steel balls in a race which are held apart by a welded cage. The welds break and the balls all bunch up together in the race.

I've caught it just in time before the clutch flaps about and starts hitting the inside of the outer cover. The MOT runs out tomorrow anyway.

So I'm going to reinstate the 900 soon for the sake of it's better winter weather protection, and of course that lovely engine, and do the KTM at my leisure as a winter project

<p style="text-align:center;">Ohlins, PC3, fuel cut defeat, +4deg timing, 17" front wheel.
Took the old cow out for a 250km trip yesterday, started off in heavy rain but yr.no rightfully claimed I would meet sun soon and so it happened. Found out muffs create a slight wobble at 75mph cruise speed 😎

Fed up with the damn footering to get my fuel tank out the way for a bit of carb fettling so I put in a pair of fuel cut-offs.  This lets me lift the tank out the way without disturbing the fuel tap and pipes.  Considered quick release fasteners but I think a few members on here had mixed results with them. Anyway, I've got super beefy bulletproof fuel piping installed so my options were limited.

For the sake of curiosity while striving for a decent balance on the carbs, I tried checking the outside temperature of the header pipes to see if there was any difference.  Sure enough, the temperature did seem to vary when adjusting the idle mixture screws. Screw them in and the temperature will rise screw them out and the temperature goes down. The photo is for illustration only, the working temperatures were, at idle, 110 to 130 C with the engine fully warmed up.   Quite interesting !

Last is a picture of my bike at a steady 2000rpm and you can see the balance on the home-made vacuum gauges.  Idling at 1200 rpm the vacuum gauges reverses position a little but there's a smooth response all the way up the rev range with an even response from the gauge.  It's about the best I've got it to idle yet.

That does'nt seem unusual on the synching furra mk1 and bike seems to run well, never got mine exactly the same..

Least I not interrupt the real work you guys above are doing, this 900 is new to me and I finally had an afternoon to take some covers of and go nuts with a bottle of kero.

Very happy the prior owner did change the sprocket as he indicated.

Also, this thing of mine had a once polished lips on the wheels with the standard looking black centre. Oh miiiiiie it is going to take some elbow grease to clear it up.  I spent half an afternoon with said rag and well it won.

VIV LA TDM!

BOO LA Years of road grime.

Nothing, I'm afraid....woke up to this:
