Is This Site Secure?
Hi.

I went to reply to a post a few days ago and I was asked to log in again. Every time I went to put the username and password in the "Unsecured Site" would come up in red on my iPad. I tried every day since and the same result.

I thought I'd try on the IMac and it flashed the same warning for a split second then logged in.

Is everything ok?

Anyone else having a problem?
Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.
I'm not having any problems and I log in daily with either a desk top pc, tablet or mobile. They each have different operating systems but none of them are Apple, so perhaps its an"Apple" thing
Some browsers are moving to security by default in that if a site asks for login credentials then it will expect the whole site to be https now and not just the login page. Will probably start appearing more.

This has been the case for some time many other forums are the same.

I get the pop up message using firefox, but don't using IE.  It's basically beacuse we don't use a https address for logging in.
No problems for me in either Chrome (tablet) or Opera (PC). Not tried with my phone.

........fine for my iPad.......Jiff

No problem with login in.

But the site and the login is UNSECURE!

No lock sign and no https unfortunately.

Sometimes the browser doesn't like this.
Thanks fellas. It came up again this time. As long as my IPad doesn’t start smoking I’ll be happy.

Cheers
Not a problem as such,

but when I log on to Carpe (I use chrome) in the left of the address bar it says not secure

......having said that, eighteen months-ish ago, and not had any problem in recent times, the banner headline atop my iPad always says

’Not Secure - carpe-tdm.net’.....so I assume it’s a characteristic of our site (OK, shoild probably have read previous posts on this topic more thoroughly!
I'm sure we could get a SSL certificate, that'd give us a https address making us secure.  Just need to find out how to do it.

I get no issues with firefox, to be fair it's not a site that holds payment details or sells anything so not really an issue.
