Cheers pudding, New gasket sorted now, took it off and of course started pissing down Rolleyes had to done me oilskins and put the big sun brolly over the bike to re-install and typically as i write this the Sun is shining, as i had to take the headers off i also managed to square the exhausts up but the headers are a bit tight fit for my liking, dont appears perfect so that'll most likely go to MTC to be sorted, bleed nipples arrived today but still no brake lines..

Right i'm ready to burn the bleeding bike, brake light is on constantly and it's the rear brake switch, cant seem to find where the switch spring sits, thought it went on the pivot but that's causing it to be constantly on and i've adjusted the plastic nut on the switch itself, pic or idea anyone, taking far to much time up now, i'll order a banjo furrit but fook knows when that will arrive..

Down tools, adenuf, it can wait...

Dave cheers matey, hope you didi'nt have to get down and dirty for the photo's but they help, although i used that pivot point for the switch spring and would'nt work, however the bottom spring on mine could be on wrong which would change things, i'll get back on the tools and see, brilliant thank you xx

Okay sorted now, piccies were very helpful, it's a case of not seeing the wood for the trees, switch was seated incorrectly, thought it was odd initially as it looked like it should fit in with the nut on top, could'nt get it in though and eventually got frustrated, ya gotta take of the exhaust and rear brake lever, take off the foothanger then the rear MC to get at the bloody switch as access is diabolical, bit more powder coat filed away Rolleyes and got the switch to fit properly which solved all my woes with the springs in correct places, woop woop...

Jeez it's getting to me again taking over me life this bike and a whole bunch of bolts i cleaned up are showing a bit of rust again, when will it be over Huh soon, soon, soon, please..

Oh I dunno, 691 posts up to now, be a shame not to reach 1000. Lol

TBH there's fook all else to do at the mo really.
Paint em in ACF50
I don't think feeling less than 100% well helps either dabbers. Cut yourself some slack. There isn't/shouldn't be a massive hurry. Ewe will get it done.
Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.
Take is slow and steady fella, there is no great hurry.
No your right it does'nt matter when it gets finished, i've always maintained that but, it needs to get done now as it just takes all my spare time when the weather is good and i'll still be fettling small stuff once it's had an mot, then i wont mind so much as i did the same with me other bikes, was hoping to get the fuel lines in today, tank de-rusted next, think i'll stick a litre of oil in it once dry to prevent flash rusting, and a recheck over all main bolts, oh front mudguard, this is really the bane of me life, painted it twice already, now sanded back, gotta to find somewhere to paint it or get another..

That reminds me to ask, which side does the tank overflow pipe reside, to the left or the right..

Cheers boy's just a little frustration set in, 1 step forward 3 steps back kinda thing..

You are doing a fantastic job, frustrating at times I know, but you will win in the end.

Lol  I'll tell you how its hanging Cliff.  Slightly to the left. Smile  Well, I think it does, it exits from behind the sprocket cover to the right of the gear lever.  I think there might be a wire loop on the frame.  Need to check mine at some point as it looks like its dropped lower for some reason.

Nice, was just in there today routing the carb overflow pipes, hm may have to slap those the other side, 2 metal bendy clips to hold the fuel overflow...

Yep, deffo got mine routed down behind the sprock cover, as you say 2 bendy clips holding it and another toob in place. Obviously I can't be 100% sure its correct, it's how I found it.  Nothing in Haynes ?
