London Ambulance Norton Rotary
Off to Kent tomorrow to take a gander at this non runner Norton 588 medic bike.

I'm taking the bike of course as it's only a look and formulate a quote.

If we take it on, I will have to fetch it in the van and pay the Dartford toll.
Interesting project. I test rode a Norton Commander when they first came out and was seriously impressed. Lots of Yamaha bits on it!

'73 Honda CB500 Four, Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Triumph Tiger Sport 660.
love the rotary, had a parade at Jurby with a racer when i was on my fz.

I beat it because it broke down  :rotflmmfao:

For some reason they put me in the racer class but a loved it watching the 80/90's bikes up close.

Mods; Oil pressure switch, neoprene rear inner mudguard, scottoiler, highway pegs,  fenda extenda, 1999 carbs and airbox, Kais suspension setup, later clutch springs, LED lamps, Metmachex swingarm, Hagon Shock, Oxford heated grips, 4 way fused accessory Bus, 17" 3CV front wheel, Michellin R6 tyres, GPS speedo, 5' ignition advance.
Sourcing the right oils for it might be an issue and hopefully the tip seals are in good nick. Only got 5780 on clock which for a medic bike is nothing.

seems rotella oil is easily available in the USA as a lot of the xs400 peeps buy it for their bikes

I've always found Opie Oils to be really helpful.

There is a group of obviously wealthy individuals, who have an owners club dedicated to these bikes. They buy in oil in 205l drums and sell it in 5l bottles to members and have donated a few liters to the project.
