funny it would'nt start on a fully charge bike battery though, wonder if the engin's a bit tight..

I found a lot of ooomph was lost when I jump lead connected the TDM battery. Prolly combo of that and yer lubbly new bits.

Last week I had to go out and get a rebuilt engine started in a light aircraft that wouldn't spin over, it had stood for a good while and when we tested it we squirted acf down the bores to stop it rotting, the owner had tried lots of batteries with no joy and assumed the engine was tight.

I tried it with plugs out and it was sweet, with plugs in even with a 4' prop for leverage the compression was evil, I had to fit a lower geared starter and jump from a big battery before we could get it going but once run and warmed up to clear it spun over on his small battery and starter fine.

In the process I managed to start a wee fire around spilt fuel and had to blast it with a powder fire extinguisher, what a bloody mess that was to clear up! Best bit is that it was a kit built fokker replica in red baron colours with a german owner sat in the cockpit when I set it on fire, and it was just after VE day! That's the way to celebrate VE day.......

Don't do the last bit with your bike, it was not a good moment.

That pic was from the previous day daps with the jump leads to battery on the floor, when it started had put the battery back in the bike so i guess engine a bit tight, then i jumped tdm battery with the car battery, and a second quick start bike battery fired her up on it's own, just needed a push it seems..

It had no wings/tail on at the time as he's still repairing them from a flip over, that is why the engine was rebuilt.

Bike started briefly today, needed a spot of choke being cold this morning, gears run through, no issues.............................yet

Well i am Mick but, got a ton of other expenses this month, waiting on brake lines, gotta sort out a spot for this reg/rec as it's a whopper and no space anywhere and fuel tank needs sorting as it's rusty from being outside for so long.. so watch this space everyone. Now back to work an all..

Would love to Lee, i've had a taste of retirement now if i find i feel naff then i wont hesitate to go off, were just a number, really, my boss is a good un an all.

Nowt to do with destruction but i thought you may like to know, Anitbodies do exist for Corona, my test came back +ve, also had to change work pattern to a phased return for a month as getting tired quite quickly with sob..
