Ah right. Â How rude of me to assume it would be an alcohol related term.

Today, I used my newly bought TDM specific toolkit to change the oil and filter, clean the front caliper pots, renew the front brake fluid and fit the scottoiler although it's not been plumbed into the intake system just yet!

Finally i got that MOTACC superbike handlebar to fit. It was too low so risers were needed to be installed. It is wast improvement over stock ones. Cables fits like a stock setup because height is almost like stock handlebar but now with more aggressive position. Looks better also. Now i just need to replace those ugly nuts on RAM mount and it will be nice.
Â
The only flaw is that now SW Motech handguards dont fit There is no clearance. Maybe other handguards can be fitted. Its not that i need them, only for looks.

Bolt up with spacers so hole is circular, bolted right up without spacers, hole will be elliptical. Centre in four jaw chuck, then bore out on lathe is one way to do it.

Yes spaced out/clamped in machine vice n drill press with 25mm drill bit in da shed = good enough for the job. Was going to use the lathe but there's an old ancient mini van up against it having some gearbox surgery.

Yes they sell at silly money for a POS - this was a £1500 garage clearout find (£1500 bought the whole content of the garage = mini, various power n hand tools new n used, 3 lathes (one a benchtop type), power hacksaw, bandsaw blah blah).
