Looks like a good few of us are building up a cake deficit, on the plus side there'll be more room for it when we can get it. Big Grin
3 weeks ago I bought lots of flour and bits for baking so my 12 year old daughter could make us cakes, I've been teaching her how to bake at home as many moons ago I spent 8 years as a baker

She's been doing good Smile

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Hunter S. Thompson.
Does cheese cake count? No flour!

No bake chocolate cake? No flour!

Apparently the issue isn't a shortage of flour, it's a shortage of capability to bag it in small bags.  You just need to find somewhere that will sell you a 25kg bag.  and then a lot of eggs....

Some peeps have had success buying flour from wholesale outlets. They're now opening up to the public due a slump in trade from restaurants and the catering industry. Wink
Me cakey supply from me old neighbour has dried up too!

2 sachets of yeast left. I looked on eBay and yeast packets are selling ... The prices are amusing...but people are buying it!!!

I live just a few miles from Skidby mill in East Yorkshire. If anyone could justify it as an essential journey I could have a ride on my bike and you could get some flour!
