can anybody on here recommend a helpful vfr forum . I have been given a 1986 vfr750f but it has an electrical issue which I cant figure out so looking for a forum to try and find help , unless any of you guys can help at all

You don't specify what the problem is but I recently had the Regulator/Rectifier fail on my 97 CB500 and it does seem to be a weak point on Hondas.

I've had two VFRs - a 1994 750 and a 2000 800. The 1986 model is the first year of VFRs - the 750FG. Check the underseat "Color Label" for this and the paint code.

 

Bikers Oracle is an excellent source of info and has a load of help in its members section. Pay the fee, familiarise yourself with the content, introduce yourself and ask away.

My top tip is to get hold of a Honda shop manual as well as a Haynes, the latter particularly for the coloured wiring diagrams. 2nd is to get to know David Silver Spares for bits.
