Quote:It's not a standard screen so we'll see. For £12 I'm not going to lose much either

It worked alright on mine. As others have said it seems a bit heavy when attached to an extended screen but it didn't produce any cracks either

Fired the bike up for the second time since last October and she started up fine. Took a while for the fuel to get there but loads of life in the battery so all good there.
not so good news is the smear offork oil covering both stantions when I pumped the forks. Lifted the dust covers and found a tiny pool of fluid there, might scrape through the mot, might not, will find out this coming week. Will deffo need new bushes and seals soon though.

Four years ago I parked it in the garage and haven't touched it since. Today with the freshly charged (but original) battery pressed the start button and it started first time. What an amazing piece of kit.

Are you going to try the thin plastic trick on the seals or are you going to do a wipe down before MOT person sees the bike?Â

I'll have a chat with Nige the mot guy before I decide what to do Al. He might even have wanna them fork seal cleaner doohickeys. In the meantime I've cleaned up the pool of fluid and I'll pump the forks over the next day or so to see if it returns.Â

Drilled the steering lock plate so I can lock it both ways, means I can park two bikes side by side and get a chain through both front wheels, I did the same to my fazer thou when I had it too.

Yesterday... rode across Salisbury Plain firing ranges and the impact zone (which is currently open for a short period) from Larkhill to Urchfont. 6 miles on loose gravel interspersed with huge puddles, potholes, lots of 4 rocks and the narrow track falling away towards stone filled ditches. I have no idea what the scenery was like as I was too busy trying not to cry or poop myself. I actually did stop and cry at one point but had to put on my big girl pants and get on with it before an equally distraught foreign cyclist overtook me. Managed to keep him upright but vowed NEVER EVER to attempt anything so daft again!
You don't need balls to ride a big bike.

New front tyre on Muddy's old 9'er. Avon 3d x-m .
Â
Managed to clean up both fork seals with good old Seal Buddy and there's no signs of leakage, which is a welcome bonus
Â
Just need to refit the bodywork now and it'll be MOT time

This morning I rode about a bit, for fun y'know, then....
Washed yesterday's rural filth orf via powerwash from a distance followed by...
Liberal dose of paintbrush n Muc Off to get most of the fleet-wash residue removed.
Â
Hand-job planned for tomorrow and then a wax and some ACF50 applied........
Happy days.

New front discs & pads - started but 2 snapped screws means no progression
So dropped wheel of at Bike shop and asked them to organise repair
Looks like the Bus for me for a couple of days
Did think about cycling but it's been a while ( 5 / 6 years ) and was met with much merriment when suggested
Strangely enough no offers of a lift to work though !
