What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today?
Like cargo jambo jet :-)

converted the Kappa Wing rack back to Mono Key as it was Mono Lock for years, this i have done so i can use my new Givi E21 panniers rather than the bigger and unnecessary very old larger Mono Lock panniers that must be 38 liters each.

MonoKey mounts in position with the older Mono Lock one next to it for reference.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Changed the oil and filter, whoever suggested putting the oil can in hot water first I thank you - it saves ages! And how the dealer who serviced it before I bought it last year managed to get the small tube at the front of the filter housing jammed in at an angle I’ll never know! Another example of why you should NEVER let a dealer near your TDM.

Got my act together for the 900 gear indicator.

Left digit is gear, top right is instantaneous consumption, botto right digits long term consumption. The up and down arrows indicate suggested gear changes for best efficiency.

(This is using internal counted data, actual bike data is yet to be involved)

Quote:Added mirror extenders to the TDM in an attempt to reduce buffeting. Bought the extenders off ebay, reasonable price and simple to install.

I'll give them a test later in the week.
Extenders smoothed out the airflow a little and reduced the buffeting. I'm happy with the result although more testing will be done.
Pushed it to the back of the garage and took the Kwacker to the TT.

Wheeled it out of the shed, did some welding in shed (fabrication of TDM front footrest modifiers), put out v small fire in shed, rode it back into shed. Drank tea & ate salted caramel cake as reward for working so hard on a Bank Hol.

After a try of my mate's Dyna Glide, I raised footrests by 21mm (adjustable in 5mm increments from 6mm to 21mm), in an attempt to stop the std seat from biting into my L inner thigh oooh dribble.

Waiting to try em out - where are Neil & Bob when ya want em??

Tied out footrest mod. Height seems fine although only 50 or so miles done.

Brimmed the tank with Sainsbugs fuel and off we go only to 1 pot wonder a little way down the road. Nursed it home going 121111121111121 all the way. Measured the temperature of both exhaust pipes - it's the nearside pot that's playing up. Take it to the end of the C-D-S and it's on 2 pots. Puts helmet and jacket back on and off I go for another 20 miles without missing a beat -WT??

Sinsbugs shite in injector? seems unlikely but is the obvious choice for blame...........

So, just the left side ? Is the gearstick getting in the way ?

changed a leaking fuel filter , spotted the vacuum hose i blanked off after fitting an electric fuel pump was leaking fixed went for a run to crianlarich running sweet

Changed out a breather hose (cap/case) which had sheered off the top of the engine and i had my spots wired through my headlight so i rewired them to an alternate source because my head lights are giving intermittent trouble at the minute and i hate the idea of driving with no lights (even during the day).

Promised it an MOT soon, but took the KTM into Edinburgh instead and spotted this TDM900. http://www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb/index.php?showtopic=36453&st=0&p=370882#entry370882

Went for a 1850 km ride over the weekend.

Motorcycles are meant for the road, not the garage. Lol
