Quote:Studz are yew referring to basket replacement on a TDM 900 or and 850 as i'd not heard of 9er basket problems?

I think it was a 9'er basket that lunched itself, broke a tang or two and mashed the clutch plates iirc. Could be wrong though Ken.

None of the above its a standalone unit from a company called Ignitech. Amazing that it's just fired straight up being so bespoke

anyone know if the tdm 900 shares the same rear caliper as any other bike in the range? i cant find one it seems unique which is odd for yamaha.
The 2000 r6 looks like similar fittings and might work but its a gamble. plus i have just fitted a piston and seal kit to this on that I have just destroyed (cracked at the bleed nipple)
ideally i would like a stock replacement if anyone is selling one.

new exhaust end can position:
its a little more aggressively angled than the normal tdm end cans but i think it works really well with the lines of the bike.
new link pipes
i think i am just going to weld them up so the link pipe to the end can is one piece with the header. i dont see the point of having clamps and stuff there when its never going to move.

Looks quite close to the pannier in the photo coxy ! i had Laser Duo Tech on an old 9r at approx the same angle, put some silver self adhesive foil on the bottoms of them just in case and had no issues at all with heat from the exhaust.

I'm with Dablik here - 1978 I toasted my fiberglass Craven panniers (one side only - but twin cans - wtf), melted my sleeping bag and toothbrush - IÂ found out after I put up my tent in Dijon.Â
