What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today?
That'll make a nice run Steve Smile

I wish I could get 6900 from any rear tyre !

Ohlins, PC3, fuel cut defeat, +4deg timing, 17" front wheel.

Chosen because the hand area is less swept back but the handles are at a similar height as the standard bars. A bit like 971's with risers

Had a long run today and they felt good, and my wrists are fine
Hi !

Im intrested in these, how long are you and dont you think they feel wide?

Sorry for poor English, cheers !
MIVV Oval Titanium, Hyperpro spring kitt front and rear, Mra Vario screen, gaiters, powercomander, sv handgards, 17inc front, 170/60 rear and that is it for now Smile

I am 6' (183cm). About average proportions. The bars are longer than standard and the hand grip area could be cut back by 15mm, i think

The quality is reasonable, but they are steel bars and the paint can be damaged if incorrectly handled, leading to rusting at a later date. I had to remove most of the paint from beneath the throttle tube because the size is a very close fit, and then covered the bare steel with corrosion inhibiting grease.

I have tried Renthal 971, with risers, and another Renthal set which I thinnk were 957 or 956.. .

There are very few vibrations with these steel bars compared to alloy Renthals, probably due to the extra weight

The handguards extend the width of the front by about 40mm total, due to the brackets mounting at an outward pointing angle

Added some Fluoro orange rim tape, think it attracts attention hopefully in a good way!

Set of Givi protection bars, very impressed with the finish though I can't get the crossover bar to locate on the joiner completely for some reason.Have loosened pushed pulled re tightened all to no avail.

Well not today but maybe tmrw :-)

Will finish fitting this to the old girl (pic attached)

Would you believe the original shock isn't even leaking! (55k+ km and 26yrs old!)

Of course the damping is well shot and spring far too soft for my bulk...

The Nitron shock is definitely a thing of beauty and so much lighter than the old one.

Can't wait to try it out. Smile

You even avoided the turquoise spring - didn't know that was possible....

Beware that the Nitron is a bit stiff for the first 100's of kms, loosens noticeably after...

Thanks for the heads-up regarding needing time/kms to loosen up - that'll stop me panicking too much then! :good:

Yeah I think the colour option is a recent addition.

They call it; Titanium Black, much preferred it to the 'turquoise' spring, which I never did like much. In fact I think that's what finally sealed the deal for me...

All clean, lubed and pretty for MOT tomoz...

If the army had to make a bike it would probably look a lot like that. :good: :good:

It would look grand with a rifle case https://www.visordown.com/sites/default/.../39610.jpg

Fitted a centre stand.

Fitted a replacement L/H switch assembly as the 'pass flasher' thingy had failed.

Riding to work today I suspect I've not fitted the air box back correctly. The bike sounds like it's farting!

Fitted a center stand. Took a little thinking before I understood that the springs were ment to be one inside the other (SW-MOTECH). Nice though, to finally be able to check the oil without assistance :-)

I always fancied an MT350 but they go for silly money.

My neighbor is involved with some sort of MoD museum that has one of the KLE650 based diesel bikes they trialed some years ago. 600 mile range with the big fuel tank version
1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now Sad

2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

I've been looking at Aprilia Pegaso 650 (another Rotax engine), or the BMW 650. Would prefer an MT-03 but the prices are still high. Just something light and flickable with no need for high speed, suited to the roads I like to run on.

Tempted by this guy's ad for an MT500 if I'm honest https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HARLEY-DAVIDS...=R40&rt=nc

EDIT - oh here you go ! I see what you mean about price ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Harley-Davidson-MT350/253717076814?hash=item3b12b75b4e%3Ag%3A%7E6cAAOSwojdbNPVW&_sop=3&_sacat=0&_nkw=mt350&_from=R40&rt=nc

I've been looking at a lot of light-middleweight bikes. Just waiting for the right one to come along....missed a couple of ebay auctions but I'm in no great rush.

Thinking along the same lines bike wise as yourself Fixitsan

But there is Nothing Local though & Don't really fancy buying blind so to speak

Did see a Moto guzzi v35 that caught my eye but too good / expensive

For what I would use it for

On a side note

What's the story with registering an import ?

Keep seeing Bikes advertised but not UK registered

Worth it for a cheap Hack ? or only if it's something special

Good questions !

I think for importing you need ownership paperwork, and then apply to DVLA for a reg. But knowing my little brain that's all probably far too simple !

Know what you mean though, seeing a lot of 70/80's imports from the USA coming up on ebay, unregistered projects
