Got my new Avon Storm 3D X-M front tyre fitted and a wheel balance. Surprised to find it only has 4mm tread depth, doesn't seem a lot. :unsure2: Rear Avon is meant to have a wopping 8mm of tread.

rebuilt the carbs with a kit from wemoto, 1 pilot jet was partially clogged went through the carbs with choke cleaner and compressed air.
helicoiled a snapped off screw from the top of the carb.
Â
fitted a new throttle cable (what a pain)
Â
balanced the carbs
Â
reset the TPS as it was out
Â
new oil and filter as the old was full of fuel
Â
started up a treat and very smooth, had to adjust the clutch as it was very slack but it fair snicks into gear now (better than before)
Â
very happy bunny

Pulled the TDM out of the shed. Bit of dust n stuff covered but all looking good apart from the right hand fork leg, pitts galore. Think it'll scrape through this year but will def need attention later. Gave it an oil change anyway.

Just been looking over mine as well as change the HID back to standard. One leg of the forks is pitted in a few spots where the other shows no signs at all.
Don't know what all that's about but it's going to get costly.

Not 100% on this but it's now a MOT fail.
Given the choice I'd stick with it as the headlight is pants with H7.
Passed it's MOT today, tester said he's seen much worse when looking at the pitts in the fork leg, I'll get it sorted anyway.

Rode to work and back, renewed the tyres and check fluids again. Loved it! Missed riding it so much! And now its a naked bike, it feels a lot better!
