MoT Passed - Fitted with Fixitsan's Mk2 DRL controller for the LED strips on the handguards :good:Â Also fitted with non-std HID Dip beam, LED High beam, LED indicators which flash the DRLs too, LED Stop/Tail, replacement rear reflector with LED Stop/Tail and additional stop light on edge of Givi rack, oh and a blue LED position light. Tested by a person unknown to me (for a change), so no favours.
Â
Â
BTW guy for the next MoT, had managed to do 200 miles on his P&J Buell in the previous year.

Are Buells so bad to rideÂ
Â
Am pleased the flashy DRL's passed too. I tailed a police patrol car for a couple of miles the other day, at dusk, DRL's flashing with indicators, and when we came to a queue of traffic ahead he moved over and waved me passed, so I guess they can't be too offensive

polishing the outer rim of the tdm, don't, I repeat don't get it sandblasted if your polishing.
Â
Taking me ages to cut through the rough stuff. I had to linish first then hand sand 40, 80, then 240 grit then brown grit polisher then 2 other soaps.
Â
only done 1/8 of a wheel; so far

Wore away my fingernails doing mine and the rims were reasonably smooth to start with. Still not fitted to the bike and did 'em years ago.

Made dogbones from some spring steel I had laid about ( :drinks:Â to Celticbiker for the drawings), to raise the bike by half an inch and a set to raise by 1 inch. Hopefully this will help improve my cornering ability.
