Awesome graphics.co.uk for mine I brought the large Kenny Roberts speed block and only used the narrow part. Iâm very pleased with the tapered zigzag at the end but no so happy about the waste. Good job they were cheap.

Quote:Started up the old cow - my god, what a job! A full box of start gas, emptied the battery once and even needed a 1 hour charge to get it running.
Once running, everything is good. What a cracking bike!
Suspecting the fuel pump to be shot again ($10 Chinese one), will eventually install electric one lying in the shed. Fuel levels will be adjusted, and I will try the oil pressure switch on.
Happy days
....and the next day, trip counter rounded 290kms and engine started missing beats - clearly time for reserve...and it stopped. So that was the origin of starting problems. I was unsure of tank status, put it on reserve to be sure
As I rolled with clutch in, I remembered this happening once last year. Will look into it in 50kms or so, when tank is less full. But fool pamp is still on the agenda, suspected to cause stuttering after acceleration at high speed.
Finished fitting Fixitsan's excellent Mk2 DRL controller and putting the bike back together.
Â
DRLs (like these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-12V-20W-Wa...SwIJlaCWcM mounted on handguards), now work with indicators & hazards, auto-dim at dusk, have a switched strobe mode for filtering, switch to maximum brightness instantly when High Beam is activated and stay lit for 20 seconds after the key is turned to the off position as a see you home function (escape the shed/find your portal gun).
Â
Public praise department
Many thanks to Fixitsan for his friendliness, MK1 & Mk2 products, instructions and support :drinks:Â when possible :good:

Found the secret of getting 4 litres of oil into a 9er in under 45 mins. Stand the oil in full sun inside glass patio doors all morning. Then stand it in a bucket and pour several kettles of boiling water in while dropping bikes oil and replacing the filter..et voila...warm oil pours through funnel and hose in under 5 mins.. obvious, but a revelation !!
