The seat is higher than the last and now i feel i'm leaning a bit forward onto the 791 Renthal bars..... The age old problem of making 2 simultaneous changes and getting a problem, not knowing which change is the cause, I might take the shortened dogbones off and restore the rear ride height (easiest thing first of course !)
New Avon tires, new battery, new coolant, and the ever important valve adjustment. The exhaust valves were fine but ALL of the intakes were needing adjustment.

Hi nsr250!
Â
I was surprised. When I was researching, everyone informed me that it was normal to find non-standard admissions.
Tendency to reduce standard measures. And the exhaust within the standard. Bingo .. this happened to me.
In your case I see that it was the other way around?
Â
Cheers!

Well, it would be better if I proofread before I posted. Oops. All the exhaust valves were fine. ALL of the intakes needed adjustments. Sorry, fixed my post.
Swapped my dogbones back to standard. After fitting the Top Sellerie seat i realise that the old seat was very prolapsed in the vertical direction. Very short dogbones with a higher up seat equals a seated position which is too tilted forward for me.
Â
So while I was at it I greased the whole shock linkage. All pins slid out cleanly, the old grease was still clear and plentiful. Keep it greasy and it comes out easy !

Wheeled the 900 out of the shed, tidied the shed, rode the bike back into the shed & now I'm ready to do some motorcycle maintenance (not going Zen)/improvements while I'm having a few weeks off (its only taken me 4 weeks to get round to tidying the shed :punishment:Â ), - valve clearances, clutch & springs, throttle bodies, gaiters, 15w oil for forks, oil & filter, suspension linkage service - blah blah routine stuff blah blah. Oh and test-fit new luggage addition one the rest is done Â

Brighter than the first one, much brighter than the W5W OEM bulb.

Neat.

With led's in series you can play GWROFF (guess which row fails first).... I have a lot of examples. The worst are Chinese products where the current limiting resistor is just small enough to keep the led's running at peak power, so they could sell a 2W led as a 3W led !
Repainted radiator and changed coolant, painted centre stand, fitted the heated grips relay properly (previous owner did a poor job) and general tidy up ready for another year.
Â
Just need to figure out what tyres to fit and MOT time. :good:
