My Triumph one ain't all that tbh. The worst problem is the wind blows the back open and send cold air up my back. It's got a zip thingy, but its the wrong size for my leather trousers. It would be usesful to have a flap unfold to sit on to stop it riding up. Instead I'm gonna have to sew something to clip to whatever trousers I'm wearing.
How about a "zip-adapter"Â .. a thin strip of material with one size of zip down one edge and the other required size along the other edge. Letting you then zip your jacket to the troos ?

My olde Heinz Garlic has a "crutch strap" to stop the dreaded kidney exposure. Very effective. I doubt it would be too hard to cobble something like this together with some velcro and a pair of Val's old knickers.

This is to join a RST jacket to a Hein Gericke trousers. The two pieces of different type zip are sewn together down the middle after aligning the ends depending on the matching locations on the garments.
Â
The lower RHS of the pic shows that the jacket zip end is further from the centreline than the HG one.
Â
Hein G are consistent in the type of zip they use but sometimes the lengths do not match so a joiner like this can give the correct alignment. I have done this for two HG items that are the same nominal size but have zips at least two inches different in length.
Â
If you are long in the body you can add a strip of material or strong elastic between the zip pieces to relieve the upward wedgie pull on the crotch.

Velcro probably not quite strong enough, the wind really gets under it. Zip adaptor sounds good, at least for my leather trousers. Never heard of them before. Â I think that I might go for sew a big flap of material to sit on though--the crotch strap sounds like a worse torture :hide:

I've acutally just done this with my Rukka Jacket & RST trousers.
Â
Both came with the other half of the zip on the waist connectors, so I took both off, lined them up, and stitched together.
