Looks like a bike more "Off Road" focused, Visually it looks tall, and a one piece seat, which one could guess is none adjustable! So it remains to be seen if it will suit the vertically challenged?...(Me)Â Cracking looking bike already, and with a re-tuned engine to suit Pavement/ off road mix of riding should be a huge success, but for now I'm happy with it's big brother :good:

As it stands it's a bit too off-road to catch my interest too. If they make it a good deal more road oriented, it'll nick a lot of sales from the new Africa Twin.

That seat would be a bed of nails for most arses. I'd tour Essex on it, that's about all.

Aren't ya supposed to stand on the pegs most of the time on that type of bike ?
Â
I'm thinking it will prolly be a lot different when it hits the shop floor, or it'll be very expensive.

looking at the length of the side stand I wont be able to get on Â let alone ride it.
If Yamaha can hook a price tag of £8700 on the SCR950 which is just a frame, engine & two wheels with zero gismos heaven knows what this will cost.
Don't like the look of it anyhows. Tracer 700 is a cracking bike.

Hi,
Have a quick peek in MCN. Latest spy shots of the real 700 Ten. Very different to the T7. As expected. Radical does not sell to the masses, I suppose. Looks small. Not bigger than the old 660 Ten. Good thing. It only ever lacked a bit more power and speed to cover longer straights. Got that now!
Can't wait for a test ride myself.

Just reading up on the new KTM 800 meant to be coming out next year. It's a parallel twin with a 270°crank, so will be in direct competition with the 700 Tenere. The big KTM Vs have never really taken my fancy, but this is a much more compact package and looks nice. It's going to be a good year next year for potential replacement bikes I reckon.

If it's like most other KTMs, it'll be high maintenance and noisy. Oh and expensive.

It's good they're bringing it out though, it'll keep Yamaha honest.

I've been looking forward to this for awhile, the result of a TDM and an XT 660 parked to close together one dark night.
Â
I won't be touring in the foreseeable future, rarely do I ride more than 500km's in a day, and the amount of gravel I ride is still increasing as is my ability. The poor TDM is taking a hammering. Damned scary crossed up over bumps and ridges, too. I don't need more horsepowers!
Â
Big bore singles no longer float my boat, I've gone vintage 2t instead, 1000cc Adventure bike is an oxymoron, and the Euro offerings in the middle capacity class still have an air of fickleness about them.
Â
Hopefully Yamaha have got the mix right with this bike and the weight is worth it.... Get it?
TDM 850 Loud and unusual. CRM 250r Woo hoo! DT 230 Lanza Fiddled with.... Bloody hell, is that legal? GG Randonee AKA "I didn't think that was possible".
