well my bolt is seized on to the bush. looks like I'll have to grind it off using a .08mm stainless steel cutting disk.

think i'll get the fiesta wishbone bolt to replace

Thanks. I'm finding this forum very helpful. I had to pull that suspension rocker pivot today, the 10 mm rawl bolt did the trick. Worth the price of admission for that tip alone. Everything is pretty good except the swingarm bearings and pin are on the way out. Where is the best place to buy? I'm in Oz but for light parts like that it's usually cheaper from UK or Europe.

Cheers Mal
Dismantled and greased rear suspension, needed it too! Only 7000 miles and 19 months since the last time. Took plenty of time to get the bearings cleaned out and all freely turning. Remember to keep on top of this!

Loaded the 850 into a van to start it's trip to Northern Ireland and it's new owner.

Just have the 9er now (and rainbow panties), took her out last night and really think it's plenty fast enough Smile

But still, I might see what Samios Motorsport can do for me Wink

quite a bit judging by their website,  If I had a 9er I tink i'd go down that route.

Yes they seem to know what they're doing and I think they're somehow involved with the lads who turbocharge their 9ers, so will have a good idea of when to stop trying to push boundaries and how to keep on the safe side of performance.

I think I'll do it TBH, Much cheaper than a Power Commander that doesn't even adjust the timing

I was out on my 9er today for a few hours enjoying the merits of the +4 degrees of advance and the 17" front wheel together, Obviously 17" is 1 shorter than 18" so the front wheel doesn't always reach down to the ground, there's sometimes an air gap under it, usually happens in the lower 3 gears Tongue . I think i got the mpg down below 160 (Have seen 210 before now !)

PR3s have worn in a bit and feel very good, I didn't like the chicken strips so I took them off on the way home Tongue

The 850 alternator stator still seems to be doing a great job Smile

Thats a bugger, but if you can get it to turn at least you can get the lock out and either fiddle with it (the lock Smile  )  or replace it

Got your number Dablik........but it's not 118 118 Rolleyes

Job done and I still have 2 key that fit Wink

Key was a non-ferrous material.

Chris i think your wrong fella, the difference between 18" and 17" on the front of the 9r is 1/2" i believe.

I have done an overhaul of the carburettors. I changed the gaskets and also fitted a factory pro kit with new emulsion tubes, needles and the sugested jetting. Fuel mixture screws 2,5 turns out. Everything goes smoothly until now when im trying to set everything right. It runs a little bit rough and backfires through the carburettors, I saw another thread whit a similiar problem but i didnt find the sulution.

Heres an video of my bike yesterday. Feel free to share some ideas.

Maybe i should start an separate thread?

Finished training and my assessment to be an IAM Local Observer. Next step is the National and considering doing my Masters one day (if I'm not too ancient by then!). Who says all IAM riders have Beemers? Lol
You don't need balls to ride a big bike.

Are the carbs firmly down in the rubber manifold connectors and the clamps properly tightened ? No vacuum pipes off ?

I will double check the rubbers and clamps. With vacuum pipes, do you mean the ones from the inlets? The funny thing obout those is that if you connec these to the morgan carbtune, the bike will stop after a short while. then you have to put one of the pipes back on the vacuum pump. start it up and then reconnect the carbtune again.  :unsure2: Is it suppose to be like this?
