Rebuilt front right caliper and bled new brake fluid throughout.

TIP - when bleeding the fronr brakes on the 850 set the MC so that it's tilted backwards......the fluid return hole in the MC is at tge bottom and it's front facing.....a cylinder which tips forwards could trap air which is unable to escape from the hole
<p style="text-align:center;">Ohlins, PC3, fuel cut defeat, +4deg timing, 17" front wheel.
Should apply to the 9r as well, wish i had thought of that when bleeding new lines.

Refitted my refurbished front calipers on the 900, they've been to Powerhouse in Chesterfield for a full refurb. and they seem to have done a good job. Apparently they were full of corrosion around the seals, but after 84K miles of all weather riding I shouldn't be surprised. What a pain in the ar*e bleeding them though. Took me about 2 hours to get all the air out. I think it's pretty common when you get a load of air in. My calipers were away for over a week and during that time the hoses drained. So loads of air to get rid of. Now she's serviced, ACF50'd and the controller for my heated jacket is wired in. Ready for winter riding duties while the Crosstourer takes a Winter break.

Ridden it for the first time in bloody ages.  Had to jump start i off the car and after a 45 minute ride and a few hours stopped it still seemed a bit reluctant to start.  I'll see what the Optimate makes of it but I think it could be new battery time.

Yeh, but corned beef used to be cheap. There is another recipe using Lorne (square) sausage, too. I am making it tomorrow for my daughter. She disnae know what she is in for.

Embarrassed by the state of my garage now...but this did turn into a quagmire of a job !

I've taken the gamble with the "HaHa look what you forgot to refit" fairy......and put the bodywork back on...... The engine runs sweet and I think I'm quite close to a  road test !

Just about finished the mk2....pushed it out of the garage (and did some fly garage tidying too ! )

Just added rear indicators and repaired the number plate since these piccies were taken. Not sure I like the vinyl wrapped screen, it can always just pull off it doesn't grow on me

Are they ? Thats helpful to know because they're unmarked.....straight through.....very loud. I had to make a baffle from perforated stainless tube to take the edge off....now they're much nicer

They certainly look like Pro Stocks, no need for a baffle usually though  Huh

The street legal wans are quieter than the track wans, I'm guessing you've got the track wans.  Had some on my first mk1 and they sounded great. Smile
